Forty seven games, every date checked against the publisher’s own announcement rather than an aggregator. This is the record: what came out, when, on what, and from whom. No scores, no ranking. If you want to know which of these are worth your evening, that is a different page.
The short answer
The busiest month of 2026 so far was September, with nine releases. February had six. The quietest was June, with three. The two biggest by player numbers are Resident Evil Requiem and Crimson Desert, both past 160,000 Steam reviews inside six months.
What we left out, and why
Ports and platform editions. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 Edition, Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition, Starfield on PS5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Switch 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Switch 2 and Xbox, and Valheim and Dune: Awakening reaching consoles. All are 2026 events. None are 2026 games.
Remakes and re-releases. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, and Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter.
Early access, and games leaving it. Hytale, Subnautica 2 and Slay the Spire 2 are still in early access. Palworld, Fields of Mistria and Scrap Mechanic all left early access in 2026, which restamps their store date but does not make them new games.
Expansions are included and labelled as expansions.

How we built this
Every date comes from the publisher’s own announcement wherever one exists: Capcom’s investor releases, Sony Interactive’s press office, forza.net, press.bungie.com, Square Enix, Koei Tecmo, Nintendo’s store and PlayStation Blog. Three dates rest on the publisher’s own storefront listing rather than a newsroom, because no newsroom exists for them: Mewgenics, Big Walk and Mixtape.
Storefront dates sometimes differ from these by a day, because stores show the date in their own timezone while publishers announce the primary global date. Where they disagree we print the publisher’s. What is still to come is on our release calendar.
