Corrections & Ledger Updates

We label every claim on this site by the evidence behind it. Sometimes we get a label wrong, and sometimes new evidence moves a claim from one state to another. Both belong on the public record — but they are not the same thing, so we log them separately. We log distinct errors, not per-article instances — one mistake fixed in three articles is one correction, with three links.

A correction means we made an error: a wrong fact, a wrong figure, a mislabelled claim, a misattributed source. When that happens, we fix the article, note the fix in the article itself, and log it here. We do not quietly edit.

A ledger update means the system worked: a claim moved between evidence states — Confirmed, Likely, Possible, Unverified, Debunked — because new information arrived. Rumours firming up before a launch is not an error; it is the reason the ledger exists. Updates are logged so you can see each claim’s history, not just its current state.

Every entry below says what changed, why, and what didn’t change. Where an entry scopes an error narrowly, that is deliberate: a wrong label is not the same as a wrong number, and we will always tell you which one it was.
