THE RUMOUR LEDGER · ED. 13 · OCTOBER 3 TO 9, 2026
Rockstar named six GTA 6 radio stations on October 8, the same day Cyberleek posted about 25 minutes of footage and asked viewers for money. Crimson Desert’s expansion date move is logged, Sony’s VR patents are moving to Meta, and an Ape Escape revival has a second source. Two corrections to Edition 12 open the ledger.

Three corrections: SUBPOENA SCOPE and FOOTAGE AGE in Edition 12, CYBERLEEK CASH-OUT in Edition 8
In last week’s “What did not move” paragraph we printed SUBPOENA SCOPE as holding at Unverified. Its state is Confirmed: the SDNY petitions against Microsoft and Discord were filed on August 20, and the subpoenas to X and Google followed, as Edition 8 recorded; what remains unknown is whether any of the four companies complied. We also listed FOOTAGE AGE among the claims at Unverified. Its state has been Likely since Edition 6, and nothing has moved it. In Edition 8 we entered CYBERLEEK CASH-OUT at Possible and said none of the published accounts showed a wallet address or a method. PC Gamer’s report of August 27, a week before that edition, linked the on-chain transactions; the claim is re-scored below. All three are logged on our corrections page.
How to read this
Every claim below carries one of five evidence states. Confirmed is first-party only, the publisher on the record. Likely is strong secondary sourcing with a track record behind it. Possible is a plausible claim with no developer confirmation. Unverified is tracked for significance rather than credibility. Debunked is struck through and kept, because we do not delete our mistakes or anyone else’s. Every item names the trigger that would move it next.
The ledger
Ten claims entered, moved or were re-entered this week: three Confirmed, three Likely, two Possible and two Unverified. Use the filters to sort by evidence state.
Rockstar has named six GTA 6 radio stations, and radio and podcasts play on foot through the in-game phone. New this week, Confirmed. Rockstar’s Newswire post of October 8 names Flash FM, Back Country Radio, Cocoteo FM, The Chamber 106.6, AfroBank FM and Dirty South Classics, and Rockstar gave each station its own post on X the same day. On October 9 it posted two new singles from GTA 6: The Album, “Suzuki” by Fuerza Regida and “Don’t Chart” by Cardi B. Hosts, genres and the podcasts are in our report: GTA 6 radio: six stations named, podcasts added. Moves on: Rockstar publishing the full station list or a tracklist.
Source: Rockstar Newswire, October 8, 2026; Rockstar Games on X, October 9, 2026Cyberleek posts about 25 minutes of GTA 6 footage, October 8. New this week, Unverified. The leaker behind August’s clips is back with a longer run, from a build whose age is unknown. In it Jason drives in first person, Jason appears fully nude in the open world, Lucia is in a bikini for her section, a dirt-biking sequence opens with a cutscene, and a tank is spawned beside a body of water. Rockstar has not confirmed a first-person mode for launch and has not responded to this leak; its only statement on the leaks remains the August 26 card. Checked in house. Moves on: Rockstar or Take-Two acknowledging the footage, or a takedown filing that names it. Our earlier coverage: Rockstar’s statement on the August leaks.
Source: PlayTheory, footage checked in house, October 8, 2026; reported by VGCThe October 8 video ends with Cyberleek asking viewers for money for a new project. New this week, Unverified. The closing text reads: “Cyberleek has a project. Not Rockstar related. Gaming related. It needs expensive hardware,” and later, “What is collected goes to the project.” The leaker has not said what the project is, and no wallet or payment route has been traced to it. Moves on: the leaker naming the project, or a court filing that traces the money.
Source: VGC, October 8, 2026The wallet that created the $CYBERLEEK token collected over $200,000 in trading fees and sold them on August 27. Moved: Possible to Likely. PC Gamer reported the cash-out on August 27 and linked the transactions, which we have read on Solscan. The wallet beginning Hok9 minted one billion $CYBERLEEK on August 15, the token Cyberleek promoted in the leak videos. At 07:27 UTC on August 27 the same wallet claimed its fees from the token’s Raydium liquidity pool, 1,442 SOL and 15.5 million $CYBERLEEK, and 43 seconds later swapped the $CYBERLEEK for SOL. PC Gamer put the total at over $200,000 at the time; the token fell about 40% afterwards. Cyberleek has not named the wallet as theirs, which keeps this at Likely. Moves on: Cyberleek acknowledging the wallet, or a court filing that ties it to them.
Source: PC Gamer, August 27, 2026; Solscan transactions read in house, October 9, 2026The leaker holds a playable build of GTA 6. Moved: Unverified to Likely. Tracked since Edition 6, when an early clip showed bullet holes spelling LEEK shot into a wall. The October 8 video is about 25 minutes of continuous play: a dirt race, a first-person drive and a tank spawned beside water. VGC suggests the tank came from a cheat code or a hack, and either needs the game running. VGC also says parts could be manipulated, and nothing in the video dates the build. Moves on: Rockstar or Take-Two characterising what was taken, or a court filing that does.
Source: VGC, October 8, 2026GTA 6 has a first-person camera when driving. New this week, Possible. In the October 8 footage, which we checked in house, Jason drives in first person; no first-person walking is shown. The build’s age is unknown, and a debug camera can look like a player-facing mode. Rockstar has not confirmed a first-person mode for launch. GTA 5 added first person only with its 2014 re-release. Moves on: Rockstar showing or naming the mode.
Source: PlayTheory, footage checked in house, October 8, 2026GTA Online pays 3x GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals and 2x on Bail Office and Dispatch Work through October, and this week’s Weekly Challenge is two Adversary mode wins for GTA$100,000. Rolling, Confirmed. The Halloween Survivals include Ludendorff Cemetery, Cayo Perico and the Alien Survivals, at 6x for GTA+ members. Completing every October Weekly Challenge, the last running October 29 to November 4, pays an extra GTA$2,000,000. GTA+ members can claim a Pegassi Oppressor in the Skulls livery free this week. Moves on: next Thursday’s Newswire post. Full breakdown on our money hub.
Source: Rockstar Newswire, October 1 and October 8, 2026Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown expansion moved from October 15 to October 29. Re-entered, Confirmed, date moved. Entered Confirmed in Edition 8 with the October 15 date. Pearl Abyss moved it to October 29 in a notice on September 30; Edition 12 linked our article but did not log the move, and the claim had dropped out of the ledger after Edition 8. Not GTA. Moves on: Pearl Abyss changing the date again, or the expansion shipping. Our Crimson Desert hub carries the date.
Source: Pearl Abyss notices, September 30, 2026An Ape Escape revival is in development at Evening Star, the studio formed by Sonic Mania veterans. New this week, Possible. Not GTA. Jeff Gerstmann said on his podcast that he first heard it around February at DICE, and called it “not necessarily the most corroborated, multiple-source thing”. VGC says its own sources match his account. Sony had not responded to VGC’s request for comment at publication. Moves on: a Sony or Evening Star announcement, or Sony comment either way.
Source: VGC, October 7, 2026Sony is transferring VR patents to Meta, with 43 recorded at the USPTO so far and a deal reported to cover more than 400 worldwide. New this week, Likely. Not GTA. ZDNet Korea reported the transfers from US Patent and Trademark Office records, and VGC relayed them: 43 recorded so far under an agreement signed in December 2025, eventually covering 180 US patents and 239 filed elsewhere. Neither Sony nor Meta has commented, and neither has said Sony is leaving PlayStation VR. Moves on: reading the USPTO assignment records ourselves, or a statement from Sony or Meta.
Source: VGC, October 8, 2026What did not move
SUBPOENA SCOPE holds at Confirmed, as corrected above. The X and YouTube subpoenas in VGC’s October 8 report are the late-August filings logged in Edition 8, and we found no public reporting on compliance or a ruling. Being named in a filing is not an accusation. GTA ONLINE IN VI, GTA 6 DATE, PRELOAD NOVEMBER 12, GTA 6 DUALSENSE and XBOX PUBLISHER DEAL hold at Confirmed; Take-Two’s only SEC filings this week were routine insider forms. GI COVER STORY and SCREENSHOT LIBRARY hold at Confirmed with nothing added. PRE-ORDER FIGURE holds at Likely with no new number from Take-Two. FOOTAGE AGE holds at Likely; the new leak does not date its build either. GTA 6 MULTIPLAYER 2027 holds at Likely, PC PORT TIMING at Possible. RDR2 UPGRADE, 2K FOOTBALL RIVAL and SMASH NEXT ENTRY log another quiet week at Unverified. FIRST CAST MEMBER holds at Confirmed (attributed), dropped from Edition 12 without a line and carried here. GTA 6 ALBUM, also dropped after Edition 10, holds at Confirmed, with the two October 9 singles above. GOODTIME STATE BOX holds at Confirmed, still marked Coming Soon at $399.99 on the Rockstar Store; COLLECTORS EDITION BOX at Unverified, CAST NDA REMINDER at Possible, MIAMI TAKEOVER at Likely, ROCKSTAR TRIBUNAL and STARCRAFT PLATFORMS at Confirmed, with nothing new on any of them. PS PLUS MONTHLY runs as listed in Edition 12 until November’s games are announced. NINTENDO DIRECT, SEPTEMBER 10 is closed: the Direct took place, Confirmed by the event.
Struck, but tracked
Debunked and kept: the $1 billion pre-order claim (Debunked Ed. 1, still circulating), the August 6 trailer (Debunked Ed. 4), site backend changes as launch signals (Debunked Ed. 4), the World Cup trailer window (Debunked Ed. 2), the all-nine-regions pre-order claim (Debunked Ed. 2), and our own Kortz Center payout error (Debunked Ed. 3).
The PlayTheory take
Rockstar’s radio reveal and the Cyberleek video came on the same day, October 8. Take-Two’s August subpoenas to Microsoft, Discord, X and Google have produced nothing public, and the leaks resumed after six weeks without new material. The new video ends with a request for money for a project, which gives the leaker a reason to keep posting before November 19.
