THE RUMOUR LEDGER · ED. 14 · OCTOBER 10 TO 16, 2026

Rockstar published the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer and new key art on October 15, Bloomberg put Rockstar’s publishing and development heads on the record about both delays, GamesBeat reports a PC version in the first three months of 2027, and Cyberleek says the leaks stop. Eight claims entered or moved. Thirty-four days to November 19.

How to read this

Every claim below carries one of five evidence states. Confirmed is first-party only, the publisher on the record. Likely is strong secondary sourcing with a track record behind it. Possible is a plausible claim with no developer confirmation. Unverified is tracked for significance rather than credibility. Debunked is struck through and kept, because we do not delete our mistakes or anyone else’s. Every item names the trigger that would move it next.

The ledger

Eight claims entered, moved or were re-entered this week: five Confirmed, two Likely and one Possible. Use the filters to sort by evidence state.

LAUNCH TRAILER

Rockstar published the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on October 15, with the debut of “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice feat. Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. New this week, Confirmed. The trailer page on Rockstar’s site carries the title Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer and the date October 15, 2026, so Launch Trailer is Rockstar’s own noun. The Newswire post of the same day describes Jason and Lucia caught “in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida” after “an easy score goes wrong”, names Justice as “composers of the original score”, and says the single is on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. Rockstar’s X post on October 15 adds: “Stay tuned for more information on Justice’s official score album.” The trailer page carries a “Plays Best On” line with the PlayStation 5 mark and nothing on performance modes. Closed on the fact of release; the score album stays open. Moves on: Rockstar announcing the score album.

KEY ART LIBRARY

Rockstar’s GTA 6 artwork page holds 25 items, with a new “Jason and Lucia Lock and Load” key art at the top in logo and no-logo versions. New this week, Confirmed. The Lock and Load files on Rockstar’s media server are dated October 15, the day of the Launch Trailer, and the page offers them in six sizes without logos and three with. A “Jason and Lucia Robbery” key art, also in both versions, is on the page as well and was not in Rockstar’s press kit when we inventoried it in August; Rockstar has not dated it and we found no Newswire post for either piece. The screenshot library is unchanged at 99. Moves on: Rockstar posting the art on the Newswire or dating it.

BLOOMBERG DEV ACCOUNT

Rockstar’s head of publishing and its heads of development spoke to Bloomberg Businessweek on the record about the two delays, the 2022 leak and the studio’s next game. New this week, Confirmed, attributed. Jason Schreier’s feature of October 14 puts Rockstar’s headcount at 2,441 when Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped in 2018 and 4,711 across 12 offices as of August, figures Rockstar gave Bloomberg. Jennifer Kolbe, head of publishing, on telling Strauss Zelnick about the delay: “I think he said, ‘You’re kidding. Please tell me you’re kidding.'” Aaron Garbut, head of development and Rockstar North studio head, on the 2022 leak: “It feels like somebody’s wading through your dirty washing.” Phil Hooker, head of development, on what follows GTA 6: “The engine, the tools and the team we’ve built during this project will allow us to do things more quickly.” Rockstar rejected the circulating $1.5 billion cost figure and gave none; Schreier’s own estimate is above $1 billion. Rockstar employees speaking to one named outlet is Confirmed as attributed statements, each line to its speaker. Moves on: Rockstar or Take-Two restating any of it in their own channels. Our report on the feature.

LUCIA LIBERTY CITY

Lucia Caminos grew up in Liberty City, according to a GTA 6 writer. New this week, Confirmed, attributed. Alexa D’Agostino, a game writer on GTA 6, told LOVE magazine in its A/W 27 issue interview, published online on October 5: “my mother was an immigrant who grew up in Newark, New Jersey, close to Lucia’s hometown of Liberty City.” Rockstar’s own character page for Lucia names no hometown. Moves on: Rockstar publishing it first-party. Our report on the interview.

PC PORT TIMING

GTA 6 will launch on PC in the first three months of 2027, GamesBeat reports. Re-scoped, holds at Possible. Tracked since Edition 10 on Strauss Zelnick’s September 17 remark that PC is becoming more important over time, which named no GTA 6 version. GamesBeat’s report of October 13 cites four unnamed industry sources described as familiar with the studio’s plans; IGN, GameSpot and PC Gamer carried it the same day without sourcing of their own, so it is one report. Rockstar did not respond to GamesBeat, and pre-orders still list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. The reported window would be two to four months after the console launch; GTA 5 took about 19 months to reach PC and Red Dead Redemption 2 just over 12. Moves on: a Rockstar announcement, or a remark on Take-Two’s earnings call on November 9. Our report on the GamesBeat story.

LEAKER PLAYABLE BUILD

Cyberleek posted a three-part message titled “End of the road” on October 14, saying “The leeks stop here. For now,” and that the full build will not be released. Holds at Likely. Moved to Likely in Edition 13 on the 25-minute video. Over the weekend the leaker had set a condition reported by PC Gamer and GamesRadar: a full story build, “played to the end, credits and all”, if the $CYBERLEEK token reached a $30 million market cap. The October 14 message says the target was missed, “so no build”, and that “Uploading 200+ GB anonymously is a serious risk”. A leaker describing a build adds nothing to the evidence that one exists outside Rockstar, so the state holds. Rockstar and Take-Two have not responded; Rockstar’s only statement on the leaks remains its August 26 card. Moves on: material only obtainable from a playable build, a Rockstar characterisation, or a court filing. Our report on the $30 million condition.

CYBERLEEK CASH-OUT

The wallet that created the $CYBERLEEK token collected over $200,000 in trading fees and sold them on August 27. Holds at Likely. Kotaku reports that the October 14 message denies a rug pull and says Cyberleek sold its holdings twice, taking only trading fees, and calls the token a donation. That is the leaker’s account of the wallet activity as Kotaku relays it; we have not read the message’s wording on the wallet, and it does not name the Hok9 wallet logged in Edition 13. Moves on: the message’s own words tying the leaker to the wallet, or a court filing that does.

GTA ONLINE WEEKLY

GTA Online’s Halloween week of October 15 to 21 pays GTA$100,000 and the Orange Glow Skeleton Onesie for three Race wins, the Butchery and Other Hobbies T-Shirt for playing, and an extra GTA$500,000 for completing The Contract Finale. Rolling, Confirmed. There was no Newswire post this week; the figures are from Rockstar’s X posts of October 15 and 16, which also promise “discounts on otherworldly vehicles” without naming them. The month-long bonuses from the October 1 Newswire post stand: 3x GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals, Slasher modes in the Featured Series, the San Andreas Super Sport Series and the Halloween Community Race Series; 2x on Dispatch Work, Bail Office targets, Jack O’Lanterns and UFO Business Battles; and GTA$2,000,000 for completing all five weekly challenges by November 4. Moves on: next Thursday’s post. Full breakdown on our money hub.

What did not move

GTA 6 ALBUM holds at Confirmed, with “Flower in a Hurricane” added as a standalone single on the album and Rockstar promising information on a separate score album. FRAME RATE holds at Likely: the Launch Trailer page says nothing on performance modes, and the 30 fps figure remains creator analysis of released video. ROCKSTAR TRIBUNAL holds at Confirmed; Bloomberg’s feature says the Glasgow case is expected to resolve at the end of October, and Kolbe told Bloomberg “if they want a union, they will have a union.” SUBPOENA SCOPE holds at Confirmed, with no public reporting on compliance or a ruling; being named in a filing is not an accusation. GTA ONLINE IN VI, GTA 6 DATE, PRELOAD, NOVEMBER 12, GTA 6 DUALSENSE, XBOX PUBLISHER DEAL, GI COVER STORY, SCREENSHOT LIBRARY, GTA 6 RADIO STATIONS, GOODTIME STATE BOX, STARCRAFT PLATFORMS and FIRST CAST MEMBER (attributed) hold at Confirmed; the Launch Trailer’s Newswire post restates November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PRE-ORDER FIGURE holds at Likely with no number from Take-Two; its November 9 results are the next dated window. FOOTAGE AGE, GTA 6 MULTIPLAYER 2027 and MIAMI TAKEOVER hold at Likely. FIRST-PERSON MODE and CAST NDA REMINDER hold at Possible. LEAK, 25 MINUTES, CYBERLEEK PROJECT, COLLECTORS EDITION BOX, RDR2 UPGRADE, 2K FOOTBALL RIVAL and SMASH NEXT ENTRY log another quiet week at Unverified; Bloomberg’s piece has Hooker and Garbut on a next game without naming one. CRIMSON DESERT EXPANSION holds at Confirmed for October 29. APE ESCAPE REVIVAL holds at Possible and SONY VR PATENTS at Likely, with no comment from Sony. PS PLUS MONTHLY runs as listed in Edition 12 until November’s games are announced.

Struck, but tracked

Debunked and kept: the $1 billion pre-order claim (Debunked Ed. 1, still circulating), the August 6 trailer (Debunked Ed. 4), site backend changes as launch signals (Debunked Ed. 4), the World Cup trailer window (Debunked Ed. 2), the all-nine-regions pre-order claim (Debunked Ed. 2), and our own Kortz Center payout error (Debunked Ed. 3).

THE PLAYTHEORY TAKE

Rockstar shipped the Launch Trailer and new key art 35 days before release, and every date on the board held: preload November 12, launch November 19, Take-Two results November 9. The Bloomberg feature has Rockstar’s own leadership explaining the two delays. The PC report rests on four unnamed sources at one outlet for a version Rockstar has never announced; November 9 is the next moment Take-Two could address it. Cyberleek has said the leaks stop, and the state of the build claim is unchanged either way, because nothing the leaker says about a build is evidence of one.
