The Title Update 1.73 payout reductions on this page are Likely, not Confirmed. They were compiled by GTA Series Videos from community data-mining, after being surfaced by PLTytus on GTA Forums. Rockstar published the weekly bonus system but never published the cuts. Under our labelling criteria that makes these figures Likely, a source with a verified track record on this beat, not Confirmed.
Moves to Confirmed on: Rockstar patch notes or a Newswire statement.Last re-checked against Rockstar: 23 Oct 2026, Newswire (no GTA Online post since 8 October) and Rockstar X posts of 22 and 23 October read, no patch note published.Updated 24 Jul 2026, figures checked 23 Oct · Patch: Title Update 1.73 · Weekly reset: Thursday
What changed at the 23 Oct check: nothing in the payout tables; every Title Update 1.73 figure below still holds, and Rockstar has published no patch note since. The newest GTA Online Newswire post is still 8 October, so the 1 October post sets the month: 3X GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals, Slasher, the Community Race Series and the San Andreas Super Sport Series; 2X on Bail Office, Dispatch Work, Ghosts Exposed, Jack O’Lanterns and UFO Business Battles; and a GTA$2,000,000 bonus for completing all five weekly challenges by 4 November. This week’s Rockstar X posts (22 and 23 October) add a GTA$150,000 Survival challenge, a free Tech Demon Mask and 3X on new Community Missions. Next check: Friday 30 Oct, after the 29 October post.
Rockstar cut the base payout on most GTA Online heists in Title Update 1.73, by somewhere between 10% and 40%, then added a weekly first-completion bonus on top. If you rotate between heists, several now pay more than they did before. If you grind one on loop, you have taken a pay cut.
The short answer: the best money in GTA Online on Title Update 1.73 is rotating heists for their weekly first-completion bonuses (x1.22 to x4, resetting every Thursday) rather than grinding one heist on loop. The Kortz Center Heist carries the x4 multiplier, the largest in the game; Cayo Perico was devalued and is excluded from the bonus entirely.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best money method in GTA Online after Title Update 1.73?
Rotating heists for their weekly first-completion bonuses rather than grinding one heist on loop. Bonuses run from x1.22 to x4 and reset every Thursday; the Kortz Center Heist carries the x4 multiplier, the largest in the game.
Did Rockstar reduce heist payouts in Title Update 1.73?
Base payouts were cut across 20 or more heists and contact missions, by roughly 10% to 40%. These figures are community-sourced (labelled Likely, not Confirmed) because Rockstar published the bonus system but never published the cuts.
Is Cayo Perico still worth running?
It was devalued in Title Update 1.73 and is excluded from the weekly first-completion bonus entirely, so it no longer leads for solo money. Our solo money guide covers what still earns without a crew.
When do GTA Online weekly bonuses reset?
Every Thursday.
How we source these numbers
Rockstar’s notes list changes without payouts. Confirmed mechanics come from official patch notes. Payout figures come from community data-mining, and we label them as such rather than presenting them as official. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the number that reads best.

For what is boosted right now, the weekly bonus round-ups cover July 23 to 29 and July 16 to 22.
This month’s GTA+ update cuts the Garment Factory to 60% off and doubles its payouts. And for spending real money well, the PlayStation Store sales tracker keeps the current wave verified.
