The GTA Online Summer Heist Event is live from July 30 to August 5, and the headline is simple: your first weekly completion of both The Fleeca Heist and The Pacific Standard Heist pays out double GTA$. Rockstar also reset the weekly completion bonuses across a batch of original heists, so the first run you bank this week is worth more than it has been in a while. If you only log in for one thing before August 5, make it the Pacific Standard finale.

Here is what is on, what is worth your time, and what to skip.

The one-line version

Double money is tied to your first weekly completion, not every run. So the smart play is not to grind the same heist all week. It is to knock out each doubled finale once, clean, with a crew that knows the setups, and spend the rest of your time on the activities that pay 2X on repeat.

What the Summer Heist Event pays double (July 30 to August 5)

  • The Fleeca Heist and The Pacific Standard Heist: 2X GTA$ on your first weekly completion of the finale, plus boosted setup payouts. Pacific Standard is the bigger earner of the two and the one to prioritise.
  • A Superyacht Life missions: 2X GTA$ and RP, and these already pay more after Rockstar’s recent bump, so they are one of the better repeatable earners of the week.
  • Motor Wars (Cayo Perico) and Shipwrecks: 2X GTA$ and RP.
  • Community Mission Series: 3X GTA$ and RP, the highest multiplier on the board. The featured mission this week is “A kick in the wallet,” sabotaging the Epsilon Program with two teams working together.

A note on numbers: Rockstar rebalanced classic heist payouts earlier in 2026, so older “Pacific Standard pays exactly X” figures floating around are no longer reliable. We are not going to quote a finale number we cannot stand behind. What we can tell you is the multiplier is real and the weekly reset means your first completion is the most valuable it has been in weeks.

What you get just for showing up

Login gifts run throughout the event, no grinding required: the Pacific Standard Sweater, Tropical Bangles, and the Tropical Glow Necklace this week. Complete the Fleeca finale before August 5 and the Fleeca Circuit livery for the Ubermacht Cypher lands in your garage within 72 hours.

The Weekly Challenge is light: win two Adversary Modes for the Manor Tie-dye Tee and GTA$100,000.

The bigger prize is next week

If you are deciding where to spend limited playtime, week two (August 6 to 12) is stacked:

  • The Panther Statue returns. You are guaranteed to pull the Panther Statue on your first Cayo Perico Heist finale of the week. It is the most valuable primary target in the game. Finish the finale for the Panther Tour Jacket too.
  • A free GTA$1,000,000 just for logging in during the End of Summer Giveaway, delivered within 72 hours.
  • Assault on Cayo Perico and A Superyacht Life both pay 2X GTA$ and RP.

So the two-week rhythm is: bank the doubled Pacific Standard and Fleeca finales now, then pivot hard to Cayo Perico and the Panther Statue next week.

Discounts worth grabbing

Most weekly discounts are noise. Two here are not:

  • Paleto Bay business properties, 60% off. Worth it if you are still building passive income.
  • High-end apartments, 40% off. A high-end apartment with a planning room is what lets you host the Pacific Standard Heist in the first place. If you have never run it as host, this is the cheap way in right as it pays double.

Benny’s conversion upgrades are also 40% off, and the Galaxy Super Yacht is 60% off if the Superyacht missions have you tempted.

The verdict

The Summer Heist Event rewards planning over grinding. Do the two doubled finales once each with a competent crew, farm the 3X Community Mission and 2X Superyacht runs for repeatable cash, and keep your powder dry for the Panther Statue and the free million next week. That is the version of this event that actually moves your balance.
