Last updated 30 September 2026. Every name, image and detail on this page comes from Rockstar Games directly.
Rockstar has named eight characters in Grand Theft Auto VI. Not eight rumoured, not eight spotted in a trailer freeze frame, eight named and described in Rockstar’s own materials. This page is all of them, plus one more named on screen in An Extended Look, and nothing else. When Rockstar names a ninth, this page gets a ninth.
The protagonists
ConfirmedJason Duval
“Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”
Jason grew up among grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army trying to shake off a troubled adolescence, and washed up in the Keys doing what he knows, which is working for local drug runners. Rockstar frames him as a man who wants out and keeps finding reasons to stay in. Meeting Lucia is the hinge the whole story turns on, and even Rockstar will only say it could be the best or the worst thing that has happened to him.
ConfirmedLucia Caminos
“Only smart moves from here.”
Lucia was taught to fight by her father before she could walk, and fighting for her family is what put her in Leonida Penitentiary. She is out by luck rather than design, and Rockstar is explicit that she intends to be smarter about it than the people around her. She is the first playable woman in a mainline Grand Theft Auto.
Rockstar added 13 screenshots of Jason and Lucia together on 30 September; they are in the Jason and Lucia section of the gallery.
The supporting cast
Six more named characters, each with their own official artwork, screenshots and video clip in Rockstar’s press materials. Their relationships to Jason and Lucia are drawn from Rockstar’s descriptions rather than inferred.
ConfirmedBoobie Ike
“It is all about heart, the Jack of Hearts.”
A local legend who converted his time on the streets into a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Rockstar makes a deliberate point of the smile and of what sits behind it.
ConfirmedDre’Quan Priest
“You are with the label now.”
More hustler than gangster. He dealt on the street to make ends meet, but breaking into music was always the actual goal. Now that he has signed Real Dimez, his days booking acts into Boobie’s club look numbered, with the Vice City scene in his sights.
ConfirmedReal Dimez
“Viral videos. Viral hooks.”
Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school, who turned shaking down local dealers into a rap career and a relentless social media presence. The most extremely online people in the cast, which in a Grand Theft Auto satire is the point.
ConfirmedRaul Bautista
“Experience counts.”
Confidence, charm and cunning, and a career bank robber permanently hunting for talent willing to take the risks that carry the biggest rewards. The closest thing the announced cast has to a heist crew’s front door.
ConfirmedBrian Heder
“Looks like a beach bum, moves like a great white shark.”
A drug runner from the golden age of Keys smuggling, still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife Lori, and long past doing his own dirty work. He lets Jason live rent free on one of his properties in exchange for help with local shakedowns.
ConfirmedCal Hampton
“What if everything on the internet was true?”
Safest at home, listening in on Coast Guard communications with a few beers and some private tabs open. Rockstar plays him as the paranoid one, which in this particular cast may make him the most useful person Jason knows.
Named on screen in An Extended Look
One more character is named in Rockstar’s own footage but has no profile, artwork or tagline in its press materials yet. He is Confirmed by name from An Extended Look; everything else about him waits for Rockstar.
ConfirmedRaymond
A member of the S4S gang who runs its drug lab in the opening minutes of An Extended Look. Characters call him Ray and Raymond on screen, and he answers to both. The gang wears S4S chains; Rockstar has not spelled out the full name.
What we are not telling you
Plenty of other names circulate: casting-call leaks, resume finds, actors who liked the wrong post. Some may well turn out to be right. None of them are on this page, because Rockstar has not confirmed them, and a page that mixes the two teaches readers that the difference does not matter. Claims like those are tracked with an evidence state in the Rumour Ledger, where you can watch them move or get struck.
For everything else confirmed about the game, including the launch date, platforms and editions, start at the GTA VI hub. Every official image of these characters, at full resolution, is in the GTA 6 gallery.
