The Title Update 1.73 payout reductions on this page are Likely, not Confirmed. They were compiled by GTA Series Videos from community data-mining, after being surfaced by PLTytus on GTA Forums. Rockstar published the weekly bonus system but never published the cuts. Under our labelling criteria that makes these figures Likely — a source with a verified track record on this beat — not Confirmed.
Moves to Confirmed on: Rockstar patch notes or a Newswire statement.Last updated 18 July 2026 · Current patch: Title Update 1.73 · Weekly reset: Thursday
The short answer
Rockstar cut the base payout on most GTA Online heists in Title Update 1.73, by somewhere between 10% and 40%. It then added a weekly first-completion bonus that pays a multiplier on your first run of each heist per week.
That combination decides the best money method in 2026. If you run a different heist each time, several now pay you more than they did before the patch. If you grind the same one on loop the way most guides still tell you to, you have taken a straight pay cut. The bonus resets every Thursday.
Heists that kept their base payout
Seven finales were left alone and given a weekly bonus on top. These are the safest earners in the game right now.
| Heist | Base | First run of the week |
|---|---|---|
| Kortz Center | $304,500–$481,250 | $1,218,000–$1,925,000 (x4) |
| Pacific Standard | $1,500,000 | $2,250,000 (x1.5) |
| Humane Labs Raid | $945,000 | $1,417,500 (x1.5) |
| Series A Funding | $707,000 | $1,060,500 (x1.5) |
| The Prison Break | $700,000 | $1,050,000 (x1.5) |
| Oscar Guzman Flies Again | $500,000 | $750,000 (x1.5) |
| The Fleeca Job | $201,250 | $301,875 (x1.5) |
Look at the top row. The Kortz Center Heist gets a x4 multiplier while everything else gets x1.5. Nothing else in the game comes close, and Rockstar didn’t mention it in the patch notes. It tells you exactly where this update wants your week to go.
Base payout before and after, GTA$. Grey is before, orange is after. Bars to scale.
Heists that took a cut
| Heist | Was | Now | First run of the week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diamond Casino — Diamonds | $3,290,000 | $2,303,000 | $4,283,580 (x1.86) |
| Diamond Casino — Gold | $2,585,000 | $1,809,500 | $3,365,670 (x1.86) |
| Diamond Casino — Paintings | $2,350,000 | $1,645,000 | $3,059,700 (x1.86) |
| Diamond Casino — Cash | $2,115,000 | $1,480,500 | $2,753,730 (x1.86) |
| Doomsday Act 3 | $1,800,000 | $1,080,000 | $1,320,000 (x1.22) |
| Doomsday Act 2 | $1,425,000 | $855,000 | $1,045,000 (x1.22) |
| Doomsday Act 1 | $975,000 | $585,000 | $715,000 (x1.22) |
| The Contract — Dr. Dre | $1,000,000 | $900,000 | $1,100,000 (x1.22) |
| Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid | $500,000 | $400,000 | $600,000 (x1.5) |
| KnoWay Out | $350,000 | $245,000 | $455,700 (x1.86) |
Read the Doomsday rows carefully. Act 3 was $1,800,000. Today, even with the weekly bonus applied, it pays $1,320,000. That’s a 27% cut on your best possible run, on a job that needs a full crew. It’s the clearest case of a heist that got worse in every scenario, and it’s what the community has been loudest about.
The Diamond Casino rows go the other way. Diamonds used to top out at $3,290,000. Your first run each week now pays $4,283,580, which is 30% above the old ceiling. As long as you only do it once.
Cayo Perico got hit hardest, and it doesn’t get a bonus
The weekly bonus does not apply to Cayo Perico. Its targets were devalued and its odds rewritten.
| Primary target | Was | Now | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pink Diamond | $1,300,000 | $910,000 | 2% (was 10%) |
| Bearer Bonds | $770,000 | $616,000 | 8% (was 15%) |
| Ruby Necklace | $700,000 | $560,000 | 10% (was 15%) |
| Sinsimito Tequila | $630,000 | $400,000 | 80% (was 60%) |
Secondary loot fell about 10% across every category. Cash and cocaine spawn rates were roughly halved. On repeat runs, the poor odds now persist for a full week instead of three days.
The practical effect: four runs in five you’ll draw the Tequila, now worth $400,000 rather than $630,000. The Pink Diamond, the target the entire Cayo grind was built around, turns up once every fifty runs.
None of the Cayo changes appear in Rockstar’s official notes. The figures above come from community data-mining compiled by GTA Series Videos, first surfaced by PLTytus on GTA Forums. Well-evidenced, but not official.
Setup missions pay more
This one Rockstar did confirm, and the multipliers are worth knowing:
- The Fleeca Job — 3x
- The Prison Break — 1.5x
- Series A Funding — 1.3x
- Doomsday, all three acts — 1.25x
- Humane Labs Raid — 1.2x
- The Pacific Standard Job — 1.2x
Fleeca setups at triple pay are the single most improved thing in the update.
What to actually run
If you can afford the Kortz Center, that’s your week. The first run pays up to $1,925,000 on the primary target alone, and a four-player crew clearing every exhibit can reach $7,143,000.
If you can’t, run each of these once and stop: Diamond Casino, Pacific Standard, Humane Labs, Series A, Prison Break. That’s $8,530,000 to $10,060,000 in first-run payouts across a week without repeating a single job — the spread depends on which Diamond Casino vault contents you draw, from cash at the bottom to diamonds at the top.
Cayo Perico is a once-per-cooldown payday now, not a grind. Still worth doing. Not worth building a week around.
Doomsday is hard to recommend at current values unless you’re chasing the Awards.
Your businesses weren’t touched. Every cut in 1.73 landed on heists and contact missions. Business income came through unchanged, which quietly made passive earning a bigger share of what a normal player makes. The Acid Lab is the cheapest way in.
The part worth saying plainly
The Kortz Center Heist needs a Mansion and an Art Studio, roughly $16,200,000 before you run a single prep. Rockstar cut payouts on the heists you already own and put a x4 multiplier on the one behind a sixteen-million-dollar door. Draw your own conclusion about intent.
It’s also widely expected to be GTA Online’s final major update before GTA VI arrives on 19 November.
