No multiplier lands on a ranked method this week, so the order below does not move. The month-long Business Rivalries Event closes on 30 September with a nightclub week: the Elysian Island Nightclub is free, Nightclub Goods Missions pay 2X GTA$ and RP, and Nightclub Management Missions give 2X Popularity, QuickiePharm Deliveries pay 2X GTA$ and RP, and the Imponte Arbiter GT is 70% off. The final Weekly Challenge, selling GTA$1,000,000 across any business, pays GTA$1,000,000 and the Retro Fruit Tracksuit, and players who completed a Weekly Challenge between 3 and 23 September can claim the free Penaud La Coureuse at Legendary Motorsport until 30 September. GTA+ members still get 2X GTA$ on their first Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid finale each week through 7 October, which doubles that first run in the FAQ below. Why the ranking looks like this
Rockstar cut the base payout on most GTA Online heists in Title Update 1.73, by somewhere between 10% and 40%. It then added a weekly first-completion bonus that pays a multiplier on your first run of each heist per week.
That combination decides the best money method in 2026. If you run a different heist each time, several now pay you more than they did before the patch. If you grind the same one on loop the way most guides still tell you to, you have taken a straight pay cut. The bonus resets every Thursday.

Look at the top row. The Kortz Center Heist gets a x4 multiplier while everything else gets x1.5. Nothing else in the game comes close, and Rockstar didn’t mention it in the patch notes. It tells you exactly where this update wants your week to go.

Read the Doomsday rows carefully. Act 3 was $1,800,000. Today, even with the weekly bonus applied, it pays $1,320,000. That’s a 27% cut on your best possible run, on a job that needs a full crew. It’s the clearest case of a heist that got worse in every scenario, and it’s what the community has been loudest about.
The Diamond Casino rows go the other way. Diamonds used to top out at $3,290,000. Your first run each week now pays $4,283,580, which is 30% above the old ceiling. As long as you only do it once.
Cayo Perico got hit hardest, and it doesn’t get a bonus
The weekly bonus does not apply to Cayo Perico. Its targets were devalued and its odds rewritten.

Secondary loot fell about 10% across every category. Cash and cocaine spawn rates were roughly halved. On repeat runs, the poor odds now persist for a full week instead of three days.
The practical effect: four runs in five you’ll draw the Tequila, now worth $400,000 rather than $630,000. The Pink Diamond, the target the entire Cayo grind was built around, turns up once every fifty runs.

Fleeca setups at triple pay are the single most improved thing in the update.
The part worth saying plainly
The Kortz Center Heist needs a Mansion and an Art Studio, roughly $16,200,000 before you run a single prep. Rockstar cut payouts on the heists you already own and put a x4 multiplier on the one behind a sixteen-million-dollar door. Draw your own conclusion about intent.
It’s also widely expected to be GTA Online’s final major update before GTA VI arrives on 19 November.
