Patch 1.16.00 on 1 August 2026 rebuilt Crimson Desert’s trading. This guide sets out the system as Pearl Abyss describes it in the patch notes. Routes and best goods will be added once we have measured them in game.
Prices fall when you sell too much in one place
Trade good prices change “when too many are sold at a single location”, in Pearl Abyss’s words. Splitting a load across two or three posts protects your margin. Pearl Abyss also raised overall trading profit in the same patch.
Hard-to-reach posts pay more, and royal trading posts pay four times what they did
You “make higher profits by trading at a post that is hard to reach by wagon”. Prices at royal trading posts were quadrupled, and your wagon no longer disappears after a royal delivery, so the trip back is on the same wagon.
There are 133 new trading posts, some locked behind quests
Patch 1.16.00 added 133 trading posts, including the merchant at the Pailune Trading Post. Some appear only after progressing related quests, so an early save won’t show them all. The types and quantities of goods at each post were adjusted in the same patch.
Seven wagon workshops act as halfway posts
Wagon workshops in Hernand, Demeniss, Delesyia, Pailune, Tommaso, Urdavah and Varnia let you package and load trade goods, and they serve as intermediate trading posts on a longer run.
Goods: 24 new high-value types, and stacks of up to 100
- 24 new high-value trade goods and 4 new regular ones were added.
- Packaged goods stack to 10 or 100 per slot, depending on price. Unpackaged goods in your inventory stack to 5 or 50.
- A single trade good can be sold on its own.
- Goods can be moved between your wagon and your horse.
- Retrieving your horse or wagon, or destroying the wagon, now loses more of the goods it carried. Deliver before you recall.
Use the map’s Trade tab to plan a run
The map gained a Trade tab in 1.16.00. It shows trading posts, royal trading posts, wagon workshops and wagon routes. You can filter for posts that sell a given good, open a post’s details to read the market prices of everything it trades, and see the average buy price for each good. Focusing on a packaged good in your horse, wagon, shop or storage lets you register it to the map filter, and the map shows how many of each good your horse and wagon are carrying. Merchants affected by a trade event carry a special marker. While riding a wagon, its route shows on the minimap. Patch 1.17.00 fixed the trade route map display.
On patch 2.03.02 each price in a post’s details shows how far it sits above or below the average, so Packaged Salt at 225 read -16%. Raising your Trust with a merchant lets you see their current stock and next restock time.

Bank: interest is capped at 40 Gold Bars, and 10 bonds start an investment
The same patch reworked the bank. Gold Bars gained or lost through bank interest are capped at 40. The Claim Bank Strongbox lets you invest once you deposit 10 or more bonds; each bond exchanges for 10 Gold Bars, and the Bond Shop sells rare items for bonds. Patch 2.01.00 added the Gold Bar Investment dispatch mission.
Fixes since
Patch 1.16.01 fixed camp storage screens opening as the Wagon Cargo screen after loading goods at a workshop. Patch 2.02.00 fixed trade goods vanishing from storage on some saves.
Routes and best goods: to come
Still checking: This section will carry the goods and routes we have run ourselves, each stamped with the patch it was measured on, because a route measured before a price change is worthless.
