GTA 6 editions and prices: Standard $79.99, Ultimate $99.99, and what each one buys

Rockstar sells Grand Theft Auto VI in two editions. This page states the store prices, what separates them, what the pre-order pack adds, and the one subscription detail that is easy to miss.

Short answer: Standard Edition is $79.99 and comes digital or as a code in a box. Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and digital only, adding a named set of vehicles, weapons, businesses and cosmetics. Both include one month of GTA+ as a pre-order bonus, which auto-renews unless you cancel. Pre-orders opened 25 June 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; no PC edition exists.

The two editions

Standard Edition is the game. It is $79.99 on the US PlayStation Store and is sold digitally or as a physical box containing a download code. Ultimate Edition is $99.99, digital only, and is described by Rockstar as an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story. Say the store figures, not the round numbers: $79.99 is not $80, and the gap between the editions is $20.

What the Ultimate Edition contains

Rockstar names the contents in its own copy, which is why every item below can be called Confirmed. Vehicles: the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Shitzu Squalo, Vapid Ganado (Ganado Retro Build), Dinka Enduro motorcycle, Crest Kayak and the Classic Car Collection. Weapons: the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers (his and hers), the Girardi ES9 pistol for Jason and the Klose K17 pistol for Lucia. Businesses and properties: Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305 (a clothing store, not a vehicle), Electric Fang Tattoo, One-Eyed Willie’s, the PTT Youngin$ Compound, the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay and Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles. Cosmetics: Vice City Styles, Goodtime Gear, Macca the Alligator apparel and over 50 signature tattoos by the artist collective FAILE. Every item with official art is pictured on our editions page.

The Vintage Vice City pack is separate

The pre-order bonus pack is not the Ultimate Edition. The Vapid Stanier, for example, belongs to the Vintage Vice City Pack and is not an Ultimate item. Keep the two lists apart when you compare what the extra $20 buys.

The subscription detail

Both editions include a one-month GTA+ membership as a pre-order bonus. It auto-renews monthly unless cancelled, so the free month becomes a paid one if you leave it running. GTA+ is the membership Rockstar sells for GTA Online, and its month of perks starts with the game, not before.

Platforms and what is not on sale

Rockstar’s live pre-order flow offers PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC edition to buy and none has been announced; the state of that question is on our PC page. The game launches 19 November 2026 and digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November, covered on the pre-load page.

Which edition should you buy

If you want the named vehicles and the businesses on day one, the Ultimate Edition is the only way to get them and the $20 is the price of that. If you want the story, the Standard Edition is the same game. Nothing Rockstar has published suggests the Ultimate items are needed to progress.

How we know: Prices read on the US PlayStation Store on 9 August 2026 and unchanged on the pre-order flow since. Ultimate Edition contents cross-checked against two first-party sources that agree, Rockstar Support’s platform editions page and the PlayStation Store listing. Pre-order date and the GTA+ bonus from Rockstar’s Newswire post of 24 June 2026. Rockstar has not published a PC edition; if it does, this page changes.

Last checked: 16 September 2026. This page is updated in place when Rockstar publishes more; the date above moves when it does.
