The PEGI rating for Grand Theft Auto VI that we read on 2 October is no longer on PEGI’s site. Rockstar’s head of narrative has explained why the satire will be louder than in GTA V. The Miami Heat have given their Vice City night a date and an opponent. Away from Rockstar, Jagex used RuneFest to announce a fourth RuneScape MMO, and Disney said it is not in talks to buy Epic Games “right now”. The launch date has not moved: GTA 6 is due on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
PEGI’s GTA 6 listing is gone, two days after we read it
On 2 October we reported PEGI’s 18 rating for GTA VI from the listing itself: decapitation and dismemberment, cocaine usable straight from the inventory, nudity and scenes of intercourse, private dances in nightclubs, and discriminatory language on in-game TV and radio. A search of PEGI’s site on 5 October returns no result for the game. PC Gamer and IGN report the same removal.
PEGI has not said why. The ESRB’s Mature rating, with its In-Game Purchases notice, is still shown on Rockstar’s own GTA VI site. A removed listing does not change what was submitted; PEGI classifies what the publisher sends it, so the descriptors stand as a record of Rockstar’s submission until a new listing appears. Our 2 October report has the full descriptor text.
Checked: PEGI search read in-house, 5 October 2026. State: Confirmed that the listing is down; Unverified why.
Rockstar on the satire: “there is no ‘background’ in this game”
LOVE, the Paris fashion magazine, puts Grand Theft Auto VI on the cover of issue 27, on newsstands today, with Rockstar’s writing team interviewed by its editorial director. In a caption it published on Instagram on 2 October, LOVE describes Ambrosia, a fictional sugar town drawn from Clewiston and Lake Okeechobee, where a sign reads Vote Erin Henshaw, sponsored by Allied Crystals, a campaign robocall plays, and a political talk show on the radio works itself into a state. The same caption quotes James Horton, Writing Director: Open World: “In a way, there is no ‘background’ in this game. There’s just foreground you’re not paying attention to right now.”
In the interview, which LOVE has since published online, Rupert Humphries, Rockstar’s senior vice president of narrative, says: “If you are going to put all this effort into creating a version of today’s world, it has to be more over the top, more insane, more in your face.”
It is the first time Rockstar’s writers have explained the intent behind GTA 6’s tone on the record rather than leaving it to the trailers, and it reads with the PEGI descriptors above as one statement: the content will be as pointed as the rating implies.
State: Confirmed, LOVE issue 27, from LOVE’s Instagram posts and its online article.
Already on the record, with nothing new since
Two stories the week’s coverage recycled are unchanged from our reports. The Miami Heat’s Vice City night is 18 November against the Milwaukee Bucks, in a GTA VI alternate uniform on a matching court, with Rockstar credited as a partner in the Heat’s own announcement of 2 October; we reported it that day. The re-engineered weather system, localised and persistent with dynamic cloudscapes, wind, tropical storms and hurricanes, comes from Owen Shepherd in Game Informer’s cover story, which we covered on 30 September; GameSpot’s piece this week adds nothing to it.
Jagex announced a fourth RuneScape MMO at RuneFest
At RuneFest 2026, Jagex announced a fourth RuneScape MMO, in early development in Unreal Engine, which it is calling RuneScape 4 as a working title. PC Gamer reports it began as an expansion to the survival game Dragonwilds before playtesters asked for a traditional MMO in that setting. No platforms or window have been given.
Jagex also announced RuneScape Reignited for the current game: a new permanent character type with its own economy and hiscores and no paid progression, launching 2 December with free access from 2 to 12 December, per Jagex’s own news post of 3 October. PC Gamer reports existing players are wary that a separate economy splits the community. An animated adaptation with MoistCr1TiKaL and Lyrical Media was announced alongside.
State: Confirmed, Jagex first-party for Reignited and the fourth MMO; the RuneScape 4 name is a working title.
Disney: not buying Epic “right now”
Asked in a Bloomberg interview whether Disney would buy Epic Games, Dana Walden said: “Those are not the conversations that we’re having right now, but we have a great partnership and a number of launches coming up in the next two years that will demonstrate the value of this partnership.” Disney paid $1.5 billion for a stake in Epic in 2024.
Walden’s answer covers current talks only. It goes on the Rumour Ledger at Possible, moving on a filing or a statement from either company.

Correction, 10 October 2026: This report said James Horton described Ambrosia. The Ambrosia details are LOVE’s own description in its 2 October Instagram caption; Horton’s words are the two lines quoted above. We also dated the caption 3 October. Both are corrected above.
