GamesBeat reports that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first three months of 2027, citing four industry sources who asked not to be named. Rockstar did not respond to GamesBeat before publication, and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has announced a PC version. The console release is 19 November on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Alexander Lee’s report of 13 October says Rockstar “plans to release the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI within the first three months of 2027”, on the word of “four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans, all of whom requested anonymity to avoid damaging business relationships”. It names no store, no price and no date inside the quarter, and says the PC version will have to pass the same quality bar as the console version. The reasons the report gives, PC players, modding and roleplay servers, are the writer’s analysis rather than anything Rockstar said. IGN, GameSpot and PC Gamer carried the report the same day; none has independent sourcing.
A months-long gap would be the shortest in the series
GTA V reached consoles in September 2013 and PC in April 2015, a gap of about 19 months. Red Dead Redemption 2 took just over 12 months, 26 October 2018 to 5 November 2019 on the Rockstar Games Launcher, with Steam a month later. A Q1 2027 PC release would put GTA 6 on PC between two and four months after the console launch.
What Rockstar and Take-Two have said: nothing on PC, and no PC streaming at launch
Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick has said on earnings calls that its games eventually reach all platforms and that PC is an important and growing one, without confirming a GTA 6 PC version. Last week Xbox’s Matthew Ball said GTA 6 will not stream to PC at launch, after a report that Xbox held exclusive streaming rights (our report). Rockstar’s own pre-order flow still offers only the two consoles. Until Rockstar prints a PC date, this stays a reported window, tracked in Friday’s Rumour Ledger.
