Rockstar has named six of GTA 6’s radio stations and their hosts, confirmed on-demand podcasts for the first time in the series, and put previews of all six stations on the official site. The same day, it opened the Grand Theft Auto VI Collection at the Rockstar Store: tees and caps at $29.99, a keychain, a money clip, a Zippo lighter, totes and stickers, with the $399.99 Goodtime State box still marked Coming Soon.

Six stations, twelve hosts

Rockstar says GTA 6 carries the biggest and widest-ranging radio selection in the series, spanning classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, ’80s, electronic, blues, ballads and talk radio. It has named six stations so far.

Cocoteo FM is the Latin station, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, running bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. Back Country Radio is country, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, broadcasting to the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn, with a roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and airboat driver called Mud Dog Mike. AfroBank FM is African music, hosted by Burna and Palmsy, from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step. The Chamber 106.6 is metal, hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. Flash FM, which Rockstar calls a Vice City institution, is the pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex. Dirty South Classics is regional rap and hip-hop, hosted by Trick and Trina.

Each of the six has a preview on the music page at rockstargames.com, with station intros and song clips. Rockstar calls these “six of the stations” and says more detail is coming, including the game’s dynamic score and further singles from GTA 6: The Album, which has 34 original tracks and releases on 19 November with the game.

Podcasts play on foot through headphones

For the first time in the series, the game has on-demand podcasts alongside the radio. Rockstar says both play in vehicles and on foot, through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia’s phones. It has not named a podcast or said how many there are.

Three in-game frames arrived with the announcement, none of them in the 99-image screenshot library. The causeway shot at the top of this article leads the Newswire post and the music page: a highway into Vice City, with a green sports car, a red convertible, a taxi and a pickup in traffic, a gold-domed building on the shore and the downtown skyline behind. The music page adds two more as section backgrounds: a night street party outside a Conch King restaurant, crowds around cars with underglow lighting, and a rain-slicked neon strip with an orange sports car at a junction, a row of parked scooters and the Ocean View Hotel and Hotel Dixon signs behind. The Newswire post’s other six images are station artwork, including a skeleton with a red guitar for The Chamber and a close-up of a character’s grills for Dirty South Classics.

The merch line: tees, caps, a money clip and a Zippo

The Grand Theft Auto VI Collection is live at store.rockstargames.com. The apparel is heavyweight cotton tees in black, blue and pink with either the VI logo or the Rockstar logo, a women’s cropped version of the VI logo tee in the same three colours, and Goodtime State and Macca the Gator tees, after the Ultimate Edition’s Goodtime Gear and Leonida’s TV show Macca the Gator. The caps are Flexfit, palm trees inside the VI logo or the Rockstar logo, three colourways each. The collectibles are a chrome keychain with the Rockstar logo on one side and the VI palm-tree logo on the other, a two-sided chrome Vice City money clip, a refillable chrome Vice City Zippo lighter, canvas totes in two colourways, and two sticker sets, standard and holographic. Rockstar says more is coming and has added a wishlist with restock and sale alerts for mailing-list subscribers.

Every tee is $29.99 in the US store and £25.99 in the UK. The caps are the same price, marked Coming Soon. The keychain is $14.99 (£13.99), the money clip $24.99 (£22.99), the Zippo $39.99 (£35.99), the totes $39.99 (£36.99), and the sticker sets $9.99 (£8.99) and $4.99 (£5.99) for the holographic set. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection box from 24 September, still Coming Soon, is $399.99 (£349.99). The same page carries the four editions of GTA 6: The Album.

In Africa, the collection is available for purchase only from South Africa, with rand pricing: ZAR 478.99 for any tee or cap, ZAR 719.00 for a tote, ZAR 398.99 for the money clip, ZAR 638.99 for the Zippo, ZAR 239.99 for the keychain, and ZAR 179.00 and ZAR 79.99 for the two sticker sets. The Goodtime State box is listed there without a price or an availability tag.
