The Rumour Ledger · Edition 16 · October 24 to 30, 2026

Rockstar’s UK staff will vote on union recognition across GTA 6’s launch week, an insider says review codes are out under a November 18 embargo, and Edge watched Rob Nelson play the current build for about 90 minutes. Fourteen claims entered or moved, 20 days before the November 19 launch.

A correction: GTA ONLINE IN VI, Editions 4 to 10

Rockstar’s pre-order Newswire post of June 24, 2026 says “Grand Theft Auto VI is a single player experience, coming November 19 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.” We did not report that line. Editions 4 to 9 held the launch question at Unverified when it was Confirmed, and Edition 10 treated Strauss Zelnick’s remark as the first confirmation. Correction notes are on the claim file, Editions 9 and 10, our July 14 editions guide and our corrections page.

How to read this

Every claim in the ledger carries one of five evidence states. Confirmed is first-party only, the publisher on the record. Likely is strong secondary sourcing with a track record behind it. Possible is a plausible claim with no developer confirmation. Unverified is tracked for significance rather than credibility. Debunked is struck through and kept, because we do not delete our mistakes or anyone else’s. Use the filters to sort by evidence state.

The ledger

Seven claims entered this week and seven moved. Everything else holds, listed below.

ORIGINAL SCORE ALBUM

Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice comes out on December 11, 30 tracks on streaming services, CD and vinyl, with the new single “Pusher” featuring Gesaffelstein. New, enters Confirmed. Rockstar’s Newswire post of October 29 describes an adaptive score, “dynamically tuned” to how players engage with Vice City and Leonida, and lists “Flower in a Hurricane” from the Launch Trailer and digital bonus tracks on the album. It is separate from GTA 6 ALBUM, the soundtrack album due November 19. DAFT PUNK SCORE holds at Unverified. Moves on: the album’s release on December 11.

UNION RECOGNITION VOTE

Rockstar’s UK workers will vote on recognising the IWGB union from November 12 to 26, across GTA 6’s November 19 launch. New, enters Confirmed. The IWGB announced the ballot in a press release shared with Kotaku on October 27. Recognition terms have been under negotiation since July, and a recognised union would have a say on pay and bonuses, overtime, redundancies, flexible working and generative AI policy. PC Gamer, citing Bloomberg, reports that Rockstar’s head of publishing, Jennifer Kolbe, said the studio would not fight a union. The ballot opens the day pre-load opens. Moves on: the result, after November 26.

ROCKSTAR TRIBUNAL

Closing submissions in the employment tribunal over the 31 dismissed workers are expected on November 17 and 18, the two days before launch. Holds at Confirmed, timetable updated. Kotaku reported the dates on October 27; they replace Bloomberg’s expectation, logged in Edition 14, that the case would resolve at the end of October. Rockstar maintains the 31 were dismissed for “gross misconduct, and for no other reason.” Moves on: a ruling or a settlement.

REVIEW EMBARGO, NOV 18

Rockstar has begun sending GTA 6 review code to media, with reviews embargoed until November 18, according to the insider NateTheHate. New, enters Unverified. He posted on X on October 26: “Review embargo is November 18th.” No outlet has said on the record that it holds code. A side claim from ManaByte on October 27, that review copies show the reviewer’s name on screen, was disputed on October 29 by NateTheHate, who wrote that review copies “are not watermarked”, and by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. The watermark claim stays inside this entry. Moves on: an outlet confirming it holds code, or reviews publishing.

EDGE COVER STORY

Edge issue 430, on sale October 29, carries a GTA 6 cover story by Simon Parkin, who watched Rob Nelson play the current build for about 90 minutes on PS5. New, enters Confirmed (attributed). On the record to Edge: Aaron Garbut says the game has “an order of magnitude more interiors” than its predecessors and describes a smell system Rockstar widened from a single scene. Nelson would neither confirm nor deny that Jason and Lucia can marry. Edge reports a four-point scale for the pair’s closeness, and Rockstar says the Criminal Profile, which runs from “Professional” to “Irredeemable”, will influence the story. The feature carries Rockstar-credited screenshots. Our full report lists the rest. Moves on: Rockstar publishing any of it first-party.

MAP SCALE AND LENGTH

Rockstar told Edge that the total landmass, Vice City and the surrounding areas included, is nearly as large as the playable maps of GTA 4, GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined. Holds at Confirmed (attributed), new figure logged. Edge repeats the figure Rockstar gave in August, a map roughly twice the size of GTA 5’s. Moves on: Rockstar publishing an area, or a measurement after launch.

PS5 PRO ENHANCED

Both US PlayStation Store listings for GTA 6 carry Sony’s PS5 Pro Enhanced badge. New, enters Confirmed as a store label only. The badge has been on the listings since pre-orders opened; TweakTown reported it on June 24, and the ledger had not logged it until now. Rockstar has not said what it covers. The only developer context is Rob Nelson telling Flow Games in July that the build ran at 30 fps, with no Pro details. FRAME RATE holds. Moves on: Rockstar or Sony saying what the enhancement is.

ULTIMATE EDITION UPGRADE

Standard Edition owners can buy the Ultimate content later: the Xbox store has the Ultimate Edition Upgrade on pre-order at $20.00. New, enters Confirmed. Rockstar Support’s platforms and editions page says the upgrade will be sold on PlayStation and Microsoft storefronts. The US PlayStation Store lists it as “not available for purchase”, with no price, and says it does not qualify for the GTA+ offer. Moves on: a PlayStation price, or either store changing it.

FILE SIZE, 210 GB

GTA 6’s Standard Edition is a 210 GB download on PS5, according to the X account PlayStation Game Size. New, enters Possible. The account posted the figure on October 27 without a method; GameSpot, GamesRadar and others repeated the one post, so it is one source. MP1st separately said it had heard about 204 GB, without naming a source. Moves on: Rockstar Support, the Newswire or the PlayStation Store showing a size, most likely when pre-load opens on November 12.

GTA 6 MULTIPLAYER 2027

Bank of America told investors that a new version of GTA Online could launch in the first calendar quarter of 2027. Holds at Likely, second source logged. The memo, seen by Business Insider and reported by GameSpot on October 28, joins Twitch CEO Dan Clancy’s remark to Bloomberg that put the claim in at Edition 10. Rockstar’s own line is that GTA 6 “is a single player experience”. Moves on: a Rockstar Newswire post or a Take-Two statement with a window; Take-Two reports on November 9.

MIAMI TAKEOVER

Rockstar and the burger chain Skinny Louie have announced that every Skinny Louie in Florida becomes a Burger Shot from early November to December 31. Widened, holds at Likely. The claim entered in Edition 11 on a Miami-Dade County record of Rockstar paying $975,000 for a Welcome to Vice City sign. It now also covers the Burger Shot at Miami’s Kaseya Center, first seen in fan photos on October 21, and the Skinny Louie partnership GameSpot reported this week. Moves on: a Rockstar Newswire post on the Florida activations.

CRIMSON DESERT EXPANSION

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown released on October 29, 2026. Confirmed and closed. Pearl Abyss moved the expansion once, from October 15 to October 29, and released it on the second date. Moves on: nothing; the claim is closed.

PS PLUS MONTHLY

November’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games are Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV to VI Remastered and Monster Train 2, playable from November 3 to 30. Rolling entry, November scored Confirmed. Sony published the line-up on the PlayStation Blog on October 28. Moves on: December’s line-up, due at the end of November.

GTA ONLINE WEEKLY

The Halloween event’s last week runs October 29 to November 4: GTA$250,000 for clearing 10 Survival waves without dying, GTA$2,000,000 for completing every weekly challenge, and 3x GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals. Rolling entry, this week Confirmed. Rockstar posted the Survival challenge on X on October 29; its October 1 Newswire post sets the GTA$2,000,000 bonus and 3x on Halloween Survivals. Moves on: the November 5 reset, when the Halloween content leaves.

The PlayTheory take

Two of this week’s GTA items came from Rockstar: the Original Score album and the GTA Online challenge. The rest came from the union, an insider, a magazine visit and store listings. The dated calendar to the end of November now reads: Take-Two’s results on November 9; pre-load and the union ballot open on November 12; tribunal closing submissions on November 17 and 18; the reported review embargo on November 18; launch on November 19; the ballot closes on November 26. The Original Score album follows on December 11.
