NBA 2K27 Seasons Tracker
One row per season, updated nine times a year on dates 2K publishes in advance. What each season changes, when it lands, and which of our own guides it breaks.
NBA 2K runs on a metronome. In NBA 2K26 every season lasted exactly six weeks, started on a Friday at 8 a.m. PT, carried a 40-level free rewards ladder across MyTEAM and MyCAREER, and the full schedule was published at launch. Nine seasons took the game from one September to the next.
This page tracks NBA 2K27’s seasons the way our GTA pages track claims: dated, sourced, and honest about what each one breaks. 2K has published Season 1 and the Season 2 start date; the full-year roadmap is not out yet. As each season is announced, its date lands here.
The cycle, as 2K runs it

Season 9 was 2K26’s final season, per 2K Support. The 2K27 Ultra Edition’s Summer Pass covers Seasons 7 to 9, which tells you 2K27 is built to the same count before it has even launched.
2K26’s seasons started on Fridays at 8 a.m. PT and 2K published the start dates upfront as a year-long roadmap, viewable in-game. We expect the same for 2K27 and will not print dates until 2K does.

Rows added as 2K confirms themConfirmed by 2K on 25 August: Season 1 tipped off on early access day, ahead of the 4 September worldwide release, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Switch 2. The free ladder runs 40 levels across The City and MyTEAM with cross-progression; level 40 is a Dark Matter Derrick Rose. 2XREP Weekends return, and two new events, Midway and Blackout, join the calendar. Note the pattern break: NBA 2K26 seasons started Fridays at 8 a.m. PT; this one starts a Wednesday at 9.
That is seven weeks and two days after Season 1, so the fixed six-week metronome of NBA 2K26 has not carried over; each date gets logged here as 2K publishes it. The same trailer closes on a Season 3 card styled in Vice City purple and pink, palm trees and sirens included, which reads as a GTA VI tie-in. 2K has not said the words, so we log the theme as Likely and the season as undated. Coverage guessing at a late November start is projection, not a date.
No locker codes and no weekly ratings coverage live here. Codes expire in days and a stale codes page is worse than none, so they stay off this site until the automation exists to keep them honest. Seasons are the schedule; this page keeps it.
