NBA 2K27 VC
What VC costs, what it buys, and the earning methods that actually pay, priced from the storefronts and 2K’s own pages, with the in-game figures to follow, and a date on every number.
VC is the economy every NBA 2K question eventually reaches. This page holds the three numbers that matter: what VC costs to buy, what the things you want cost in VC, and what each earning method actually pays per hour of play. The pack prices and the VC inside editions and passes are read from the PlayStation, Xbox and Steam stores and 2K’s own pages, dated. The in-game costs and earning rates will be measured in play and added with dates, then re-verified when patches or seasons move them.
The edition bonuses are first-party: 10,000 VC with every pre-order placed before the 4 September launch, 100,000 on Deluxe, 135,000 on Ultra. The editions page has the full ladder.

USD prices are identical on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and Steam’s in-game item store; GBP is the UK PlayStation Store. The 5,000 VC pack was read on PlayStation and Steam; no Xbox listing for it surfaced. VC per dollar is our arithmetic from the store prices. Packs went live on 21 August, before early access.
VC inside other purchases
Store listings and 2K’s own pages, read 2 September 2026Standard $69.99 carries no VC. Deluxe $99.99 carries 100,000 VC. Ultra $149.99 carries 135,000 VC (Deluxe’s 100,000 plus 35,000) with the Season 1 Pro Pass and the Summer Pass for Seasons 7 to 9; Ultra was listed for sale only until 6 September, per 2K, so that window has closed. Every pre-order before the 4 September launch added 10,000 VC. 2K cover reveal and pre-order FAQ.
40 premium levels; 2K’s store copy promises “up to 45,000 VC” across the track, alongside the Dragonfire mask and tee, a 91 OVR Diamond Jimmy Butler card and a Pro Pass pack with a Hall of Fame Smooth Operator badge card. One third-party count puts the track’s VC near 95,000; 2K’s own wording is the figure we carry until the levels are read in-game.
Everything in the Pro Pass plus four extra rewards, a 15 per cent XP boost for the Season, ten immediate level skips and 15,000 VC.
The MyCAREER Bonus Offer (75,000 VC, XP coins, cosmetics) and the MyTEAM Bonus Offer (75,000 VC, XP coins, a 90 OVR player pack and MyTEAM Points) each carry the same 75,000 VC as the $19.99 VC pack, with extras on top, for as long as they stay listed.
Earning VC
What 2K states, and what is measured in playMyCAREER games, online play and the Season ladders, with an internet connection required for any VC to accrue. In co-op MyCAREER, you and your partner controlling Trace each earn separate, full VC and Season XP, with teammate grade driving the payout. Season 1’s Blackout event pays VC among its bingo rewards, and the NBA 2K HQ app pays daily login rewards on a seven-day streak with milestones at 10 and 20 days. 2K publishes none of the amounts.
Episode 1 runs 13 questions; a full set of correct answers is reported to pay a little over 2,000 VC. Third-party figure; the game is out and this will be replaced with our own reading.
Filled from the game
Measured in play, each figure datedThe attribute upgrade ladder (per point by rating band, and the totals to 85, 90 and 99), Gatorade boosts, and clothing and animation prices in the City stores. No 2K27 figure for any of these has been published by 2K; the 2K26 community figures (roughly 190,000 to 200,000 VC to 85, around 360,000 VC to 99) are not carried over.
